Welcome everyone.
Today we're doing an unboxing of the HDV-Z96 LED Video Light, along with Sony NP-F550 Rechargeable
Battery and Synergy Battery Charger.
The Synergy Battery Charger comes with a Vehicle Plug and Travel Plug Converter, providing
you with great versatility.
On the back of the charger you'll find the folding and retractable plug prong, which
is a space saver for stowing the charger in a camera bag.
The Sony NP-F550 battery comes in handy versus using 5 AA batteries which the HDV-Z96 has
an option.
This batter came pre-charged, however I would recommend you charge the battery before use.
Ironically, I couldn't find any information on the battery life once charged and I've
not used it enough to give you an educated guess.
The Synergy charger and the Sony battery are perfectly compatible.
The charger along with the battery come with build in modular railing systems that allow
for a solid fit.
Both are light weight and make for a great inclusive package when purchasing the HDV
LED Light.
The HDV Light will come with a mounting and modular connector bracket.
Also included are two magnetic Filters.
The magnetic filters allows for easy assembly and disassembly.
The HDV has a 800 Lux, 56000K maximum brightness with adjustable illumination, which is produced
by the 96 individual LED lights.
Along the sides of the HDV there are modular connectors that allow you to interconnect
other HDV lights, should you need additional lighting.
On the back we see the round toggle light adjustment button, a 16.8 volt connection.
The 16 volt connection power source isn't included with the light.
We also see the battery connection, along with the yellow batter cover release button.
Once you open the batter case you'll see the 5 double A battery carriage.
I'd like to mention that the battery door needs to be in the open position so that you
can properly seat the Sony NP battery.
The battery and light have a modular rail system that allows for secure tight fit.
Here we see my Logitech 930 Wireless headsets and Thermaltake dual docking station with
just an overhead light source.
In this image we have the items under two defused desk lamps.
And in this final image I have all the light sources combined to include the HDV LED Light,
granted I'm still working with lighting and backgrounds, so I do appreciate all the feedback
I get from you guys who are more savvy with photography as well as video production.
Thus far I have to say I've been incredibly satisfied with the HDV Light and getting the
Sony Battery, along with the Synergy Battery charger was a great deal for around $85.00
dollars.
If you're just getting started or even if you're professional I'd highly recommend the
HDV LED Light.
