Pregnant Mom Panics When Cop Pulls Her Over, Breaks Down In Tears When She Sees Her ‘Ticket’
Regardless of whether you were actually doing anything wrong or not, seeing flashing red
and blue lights in your rearview mirror is enough to incite panic in anyone.
No one likes to get pulled over or be given a ticket!
Police know this just as well as the rest of us, so this holiday season the police department
in Molalla, Oregon, decided to change things up a bit.
When Stacy, who was nine months pregnant at the time, got pulled over, she was sure she
was in trouble.
She nervously waited in the driver’s seat as the officer walked up to her window.
What the officer did next left Stacy in tears, but these were actually tears of joy!
nstead of a ticket, the officer handed Stacy a one hundred dollar bill!
It turns out an anonymous local business owner had donated cash to the police department
as a kind of “Secret Santa” operation.
The officers then took the money and gave it out freely to people around the town.
Some of the money went to random drivers who had been pulled over, while some went to people
the officers knew were going through a tough time, like two men who had been laid off just
before Christmas.
The officers filmed their acts of kindness and posted them on their Facebook page where
they received hundreds of thousands of views.
One young woman was so overcome with emotion and gratefulness that she got out of her car
and hugged the officer as tears rolled down her face.
For the officers, this Secret Santa program was a way for them to reach out to the people
in their community in a positive way.
Many see the police as a threat, someone you only see when something bad happens.
This program allowed them to show kindness to their citizens, helping them realize the
police are there to help them and do good.
“With opportunities like these, it would be difficult to measure who feels more joy,
the officers giving the gift or the unsuspecting recipient,” said Police Chief Rod Lucich.
He said he hopes this idea catches on and more people in the community will get involved.
“If this is something that maybe takes hold, and other business owners and others get involved,
then maybe this is something that can touch a lot more people in the future,” he said.
Were you touched by what this businessman and these officers did for the people in their
community?
Then share it!
