One of the tricks of doing bracelets is trying to get it the right size when you are done.
I have played around with this a little myself; no one would ever give me their secret for
making felt bracelets of the people that I have found that make them. So, I developed
my own technique. I use a linen cord to set my size for my bracelet. So, I know if I want
a bracelet that will just fit over my hand, like that, I need a linen cord that is going
to be the right size. So, you can start with a bangle bracelet that already fits you and
use that or you can just experiment by tying the string. But what I do, is I will take
my example bracelet and just tie a circle of the linen cord that is the same size. I
will tie it with a square not so it does not slip. But, I want that to be the same size,
or slightly larger, than my sized piece that I know is going to be the right size. And
then I cut the ends off and I end up with a sizing cord that is going to be incorporated
into the center of my bracelet. That is the way that I have developed to make my bracelets
be the right size. So, that is kind of like my secret technique and I am sharing that
with you today. So, I hope that helps you with your bracelet making.
