Funding has been set aside by the Tauranga City Council
to support local iwi and hapu
with their land development goals and aspirations.
The $30,000 fund aims to help the council in collating information
to be used in the city plans and provides iwi and hapu
with the chance to have a say
in what they would like to use their land for,
including projects like papakainga.
The Tauranga Councils says it's a way to support iwi and hapu
who would like to develop their land.
Local iwi and hapu have until mid-August to apply for the fund.
