The UFC is the biggest stage in the world.
I don't care about the ranking of my opponents.
She represents Japan's female MMA fighters on a world stage.
I'm Rin Nakai. I'm 27.
I first got into mixed martial arts
when I met Mr. Usami, the head of the Shikoku Shooto gym.
I've known Rin since she was a kid.
She was always good at judo.
I taught judo and wrestling in various places around the area.
Rin started doing MMA about 8 years ago when she was 19.
Because I've been doing judo since I was 3,
nobody around me had any problems with me doing MMA.
I also studied gymnastics as a kid,
and this continues to help me in MMA today
when it comes to flexibility, reflexes, and spinning or rolling.
Of course she's really strong.
If I don't go at her full-on I'm worthless to her as a training partner.
So I never hold back. But she always gives as good as she gets.
We do have women's groups at our gym.
Like for boxing, judo, and so on.
But Rin is too strong for them.
None of the other women can keep up with her.
No joke.
When I received an offer from the UFC,
I knew that I had to start training harder since things would get even tougher.
The best part about the UFC is that I can fight with the best in the world.
Miesha Tate has really good style and is very sexy.
She's tough and has stamina that gives her an advantage late in her matches.
I come and practice here at the Muneta Dojo twice a week.
I practice four times a day throughout the year.
I only take one day off every month or couple of months.
Rin is strong.
She's also very good at grappling.
On top of that, she also did gymnastics as a kid,
so she moves really well.
She's extremely agile when it comes to pretty much everything.
I'm not doing anything special for my match with Miesha Tate.
I'm just doing as much all around training as I can.
I think that I have to win this match
as a representative of Japanese and Asian women.
[9/20 UFC Let's go to Saitama Super Arena!!]
I've done various videos, photos, and been a ring girl before,
and I'm very happy to have received comments from around the world.
The costume that got the biggest reaction
is my bunny girl outfit.
I'm a bunny today.
I train a lot in order to build my strength,
but I also want to show off my feminine side as well.
It's nice and warm out.
I'm going to give this a try.
It's scary!
It's no good.
I'll try it over on that side.
I don't look up to any other fighters.
Instead, I'd rather focus on becoming the type of fighter others look up to.
In order to make MMA really take off in Japan,
I think a Japanese fighter needs to win.
I think it's important that Rin Nakai wins.
Please come and watch my fight at the Saitama Super Arena.
Come and cheer for me.
