Turrets prefer to attack minions before attacking champions. This means it is best to attack turrets once a turret has begun attacking nearby minions.
Turrets will attack you if you attack one of their allied champions while in range.
Turrets will not stop attacking a champion until the champion is dead or out of range of the turret.
Most abilities do not affect turrets. Damage is dealt to turrets though auto attacks and the damage is based on whichever is higher between your attack damage or 40% of your ability power.
It is impotant to remember that a turret will come to your aid if an enemy attacks you while you are defending a turret.
There are three turets in each lane and they must be killed in order. Once all three have been killed the lane inhibitor becomes vulnerable.
If a lane inhibitor is destroyed, super minions will spawn in the lane for the opposing team. Inhibitors respawn five minutes after being destroyed.
Once at least one lane inhibitor has been destroyed, the two turrets guarding the nexus become vulnerable to attack.
When these turrets are destroyed, the nexus is vulnerable. If the nexus is destroyed, that team loses the match.
