Did you know how in all the homes across America, that there are more dogs than there are children?
In order to feed them right, we've decided we're going to put together some fish bones for you.
Little doggie biscuits
filled to the brim with tuna for your dog. My dog loves these. So let's get busy and I'll show you how to make them.
First of all, we're going to start up
with one 6 oz can of tuna,
juice and all. Put this into your
Kitchen Aid, or whatever mixer you happen to have,
because you're going to get a nice stiff dough out of this.
You put in your 6 oz can of tuna, juice and all.
Next you're going to add
one 1/2 cup of
chopped parsley. This is how we're going to counteract the tuna smell
and make their little doggie breath
sweet and nice.
We have 3 eggs right here, that we'll also add to the mix.
Additionally, a 1/2 cup of flaxseed.
A 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds. You can hear my dog in the background. She knows what I'm making.
Then we've got 2 cups of flour here. We're just adding it all in here.
Then we're going to mix this big old mess up. So check it out. Here it goes.
Oh yeah, it goes everywhere.
Like I said, you're going to get a really stiff dough of of this. But don't worry about it. In a minute we're going to roll it out, cut the bones out and bake them.
We'll talk about that in just a minute.
Ok, we've heated the oven to 375 degrees, so it's all preheated.
Now we're going to take our cookie sheet
and lightly spray it.
We don't want tuna sticking.
Now we're going to roll out the cookies,
the fish bones out..
Get this dig glob out.
You're going to need a lot of water.
I mean flour, because it's real sticky.
Just put the four out. I put about 2 cups of flour out
and turn it over.
You can roll it out
to about a 1" thickness.
Then you're going to take your fishbone, your doggie bone
and cut them out.
Just that simple.
We're going to cut all these out and put them in the oven.
Okay, we've cut out all of our fishbones
and they're on the cookie sheet, ready to be baked.
Put them in the oven
for about 10-15 minutes,
as you would any regular cookie. Just make sure they're done all the way.
Then you pull out the baked cookies.
Viola, that's what they look like.
Doesn't that look tasty? You know you want one.
We have some cooked and cooled ones, that my dog Jewel,
the mighty chihuahua
is going to enjoy. Watch her go crazy for this thing.
You want a cookie?
Yum!
There she goes!
Enjoy your cookies, y'all.
