Umm yeah, hi this is my latest blog for me and Marco.
We’re both student ambassadors
and umm basically what we’ve been doing lately,
we’ve been doing a teaching,
a helping session where we’re
helping first year students in a module
we did last year, so it’s our module
called Business Organisation Practice and we’re,
as we did it last year and we’re in our second year now,
we’re helping first year students do their coursework
and prepare for their exams.
Marco: Yeah, in a way it’s good for the students
in first year because they gain,
they get to gain our experience on
what we’ve done last year, so instead of getting
it from the tutors they get it from our students
so we’ll be able to tell them how we did it and how,
what’s the best way to do it
and that will next year help them.
And also it’s good for our CV’s
because it shows us that we’re able to work
with people and be leaders and to go
to university as well.
Adam: And also, like umm, last year
we had student helpers help us and I remember
I gained a great insight into like extra stuff
to put into my work and it
really helped with my exams,
so it’s really nice helping other students
and it’s a great opportunity that Kingston
provides students with opportunities
to do stuff like this.
Marco: Also they, they’re not just getting help
because at the same time we’re helping them,
at the same time we’re learning new skills.
So like, when we help them we tend
to find out ways that like,
the errors that they make,
then they’ll help us out in our second year course,
knowing that if they make those errors,
that’s the way of, tell them,
that’s the way of like fixing them,
at the same time we’re learning from them,
those mistakes, we won’t make
the same mistake into our coursework
or into the work we do next year.
So yeah, that’s it for the video, stay tuned
for next month and me and Adam.
