Think security breaches only happen to big companies like Target and Macy's?
Think again. I'm Denise O'Berry and you're watching the
"Little Big Show." Your place for bite size tips that can have
a big impact on your bottom line. How careful are you with the data that you
collect from your customers? How about the handling of money in your business?
And passwords? What controls have you put in place to protect
all the precious information in your business? We don't often think about the security of
our small businesses, but we should. Attacks are on the rise and you could be the
next target. And customers are becoming more and more aware
of how vulnerable their information is in the hands of any business.
Now that's a good thing, but it can be a bomb waiting to drop really bad news on your business
if you're not careful. According to the security experts, here are
a few things you can do to your business to make it more secure.
Establish and enforce procedures for handling customer data.
Monitor areas where cash is handled. Conduct background checks and drug screening
when you hire, so that you hire right the first time.
Have regular employee meetings to discuss issues and security protection in your business.
Conduct surprise audits in your business. You want to make sure that everything is happening
the way you want it to happen. What security measures have you put in place
in your small business? Please share in the comments below.
And if you know a small business owner who could use the information I shared in this
video, send them off a link to it right now. Don't forget to like this video and subscribe

time I upload a new video. Make sure you pick up a copy of my "Success
Strategies Guide: 10 Keys to Success for Small Business Owners."
You can get it for free at DeniseOBerry.com. It contains tips in it that I don't share
anywhere else and it'll help you move forward in your business.
Thank you so much for watching. I'll see you next week.
