We'll cut straight to it, talking directly to the user is often more insightful and that's
exactly what we did getting the experts at the Garmin Sharp professional cycling team
to give us there thoughts. Yer I guess there's a few advantages but the most funny one is
actually that when I've just stopped for a coffee ride or you know when I just want to
hide for one hour and drink a coffee now my wife has the possibility to chase me on the
new 810 and I would say for her it's an advantage but for me it's kind of an advantage because
I guess I can also follow other riders. Yer when I was young I could follow them with
my legs and now I have to follow them with my Garmin. For the first time you can monitor
and share in real time where you've been how you're performing with accuracy durability
and endurance. This is the real win of the 810 allowing real time connectivity, instant
data upload, wireless connectivity. Download workouts and courses from Garmin connect directly
to your edge either at home or on the road. Of course this will effect battery life which
is one thing personally I'll be checking on my longer rides. The live track feature allows
your friends to follow your races and training rides in real time. Your followers can track
your speed, distance, location, elevation, and all sends your data directly from your
edge. Invite followers using email or social media to view live data on Garmin connect.
Don't worry tracking can be disabled at any point just ride fast, Dam fast. Get real time
weather conditions, forecasts and alerts directly on your Garmin 810. This is going to be a
huge advantage because you're going to know well in advance when you're going to get soaked
through. This has been reduced 1g down to 97, every gram counts remember. The edge 810
allows you to store up to 10 named bikes which is double the amount of the older 800. That
should be enough for most people even if you've got the equivalent of a bike shop in your
garage. They've made it much easier on the new 810 to pair with any ANT+ device simply
press from the home screen, on the very top here, this will allow you to pair with heart
rate monitors, speed sensor, cadence and power on this one, then it's got all your phone
connections on the bar underneath. So you can enable bluetooth and connect with your
smart phone. The garmin 810 allows you to select, wait for it, a pre selected image
of a bike which you can name. For more videos like this go to www.youtube.com/GCN
