Hi, this is Willy.
There's a girl sitting down there which I want to photograph
and I don't want her to be over-conscious that I'm photographing her
that I want her to be natural. I can pre-focus on this
brick wall/seat over here and make sure that I walk at the same
distance.
So this way,
you can get a shot
of her just doing it and I caught her just slightly after that.
Now there's a mother and son walking towards me now.
So what I do is I can pre-focus on the floor
and wait for her to come by as they cross the frame. That's when they've just cross the frame and
I got a shot of them.
The other way of doing that is to use a wide angle lens.
For example, I can be pointing in this direction now and the person may not be
suspecting that i'm shooting but
they're in the shot. They're at the corner of the frame but they're still in the shot. That's one way that you can get a candid shot
of them, without them being overly too conscience.
