Hello World. This is NineFactorial.
I reviewed my first video and I noticed some mistakes. One of them is my annoying and false
voice. Apologies for that. I'm not used to speak in English.
So, as I said in my last video, I'm gonna talk about Costa Rican geography. And what
better way of doing that than debunking...
Four myths about Costa Rican Geography!
Myth number one: Costa Rica is an island!
Completely false. Costa Rica forms part of what is called an "isthmus". That means a
thin strip of land that connects two big masses of land.
Myth number two: Costa Rica is complete jungle!
Again, false. We have cities, we have civilization. We have cars, we have helicopters, we have
planes... We have computers! We have cameras!
Myth number three: Costa Rica is Puerto Rico!
No. No, it is not. Please, *please*, do not confuse them. Here is how you write each of
them. Puerto Rico *is* and island, Costa Rica is not.
Myth number four: the capital of Costa Rica looks like this:
No, it does not. Here are some images of the real capital of Costa Rica. First of all,
you can see it is not close to the sea. It is an urbanized place, we have tall buildings,
we have streets, we have cars... there is pollution, too.
So, lastly, I want to leave you with some images of Costa Rica from the air. But, before
that, I want to tell you this weekend I will be at the Scientific Camp of Costa Rica. It
is a camp organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Telecomunications. I hope to
be interviewing some of the people there, so that's what you can expect for the next
video.
