Hi my name is Nick Phelps and I graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2008, I
was a finance and economics major. The University of Kentucky gave me so much, I came onto campus
in 2004 and knew nobody, I had no relationship to Lexington or the university and four years
later when I left in 2008, I literally called it home and so loyalty to the University of
Kentucky is simply saying thank you and making sure I'm here for my university. I think it's
important for every alumni especially a young person when it's very affordable to be a member
and try to attend a few events maybe locally or back in Lexington. You know the university
does so much for so many people and sometimes is very easy to get into the everyday "hurry
up" mojo and you forget how did you get to where you are or why are you having these
opportunities and loyalty to me is being able to say thank you and there's many ways to
do that be Dance Blue or helping a 17 year old try to understand our campus. Loyalty
is trying to open a door for the University of Kentucky and me being the one to help someone
walk through it. See blue forever.
