Lovely. just got back from a brisk walk.
Since a few months, I take some time for it, every morning: 45 minutes, an hour.
Walking is really good and there are many advantages, it seems to be healthy too!
Just had a nice rain shower, so pleasing!
For me the most important thing is, early in the morning, your nose is opening wide.
I have a mild form of abneu or something and when I'm out walking, it just feels open, it feels so good!
But this is Leon's Winementaries? What has this to do with wine?
Well, I'm going to tell you: the link with wine here is oxygen, air!
Oxygen does something with wine and usually that's good.
If you let the wine go round the glass then a good bit of air mixes in and do the wine right.
It's not just to act interesting to swirl the wine in the glass
An even more efficient way to provide air to the wine is to pour the wine into a decanter.
Decanting is not just to give air to the wine , there is also another reason, I'll get to that.
You can imagine that the wine here is happy
Well yes you might think, I knew that: Leon, tell me some new. I want the movies to be interesting for everyone,
but the level of knowledge is of course different for everyone, but I will tell you something, what nobody can know yet:
Yesterday's wine, I think is twice as good.
Yesterday it was pretty hard for me not to drink the whole bottle at once,
I thought Let me poor the wine into a carafe and see what will become of the wine:
2 x so delicious, it's much more rounded, much softer, more mature. Twice the wine for the same price!
Well I'm not saying this is always the case but in many cases it is good to decant
The other reason: we decant to separate the depot from the wine.
If you already know you can now click away, it's video. But perhaps you can take a look:
Searching in google to find winedepot, on the first position there is the link to Wikipedia and I found some great new things
For example that depot is also called sediment (I knew that), foots (I knew that too) or 'moer' ('nut'), this is new to me.
If you click further you can read that depot is a sludge of solids remaining after fermentation in wine in tank or barrel,
or after a certain period of maturation in bottle
So, probably there's still something new to learn on the internet about decanting and depot.
That was number 12, a few days then it's Christmas. I wonder what you are going to drink. Let me know. I'm quite curious!
Thanks for watching again, we are already over 3000 views, all the movies together, but spread the word!
It's very easy to keep your friends or acquaintances posted about to Leon's Winementaries
