>> Leaving London for... The Maldives ! Excited, tbh not sure what to expect of the Maldives. Sounds too expensive but now we’re 30 and never been so let’s check it out.
>> Flying over Maldives resorts and islands on a sea plane. Stunning views of Maldives islands, aqua blue, ocean colours, white sand, beautiful clouds, beautiful.
>> Maldives sea plane lands. Speed boat to the island. Humidity hits us, very hot.
>> walked to the villa by extremely friendly Maldivian staff from Anantara, Risan. Lovely sand, lush green trees and a beautiful sunset at Anantara Kihavah.
>> Our first look at our Anantara water villa. Beach bikes, spacious, infinity swimming pool, glass bottom toilet, glass bottom bath, ocean view, coral, house reef and lots of marine fish life.
>> My girlfriend wanted a video of me behind the glass bottom bath so I swam under the water villa.
>> Just getting accustomed to the snorkels in our infinity pool. Posing picture, relaxing under the water.
>> Erin and James first day of snorkelling, not sure what to expect. Deserted island, Maldives, Kihavah, very quiet.
>> Snorkelling in the sun.
>> The water in the Maldives just goes on and on and on… Did a complete 360 video and all you can see are other beautiful islands, nothing else. The water is crystal clear, a turquoise blue. The uninhabited islands have the most beautiful dense greenery.
>> Maldives Jet Skis, seadoos, remote islands, paradise.
>> We could not believe after just 20 minutes at 60mph from Anantara Kihavah, we came across tiny remote sand islands. We drove the jet skis onto the beach and took in the stunning panoramic views. The water is so crystal clear.
>> Snorkelled our way to the spa, along the beautiful coral and house reef. Lots of parrot and clown fish, some of the most beautiful I’ve seen. Also lots of trigger fish.
>> The variety of greenery is breath-taking. The island is so well kept, probably to do with the 1.5:1 ratio of staff to guests. Beach bikes !
>> Panoramic of Anantara spa. The spa is in private water villas.
>> Maldives spa. 3 day spa package including Indian head massage, thai massage, feet / foot reflexology. Stunning spa views.
>> Maldives love. Maldives spa, roses, water lilies coconut oil water. Nuf said.
>> Maldives spa ends, relaxation at the spa. Watching the world go by. Young love.
>> Swings in the water. Maldives chilling.
>> Maldives nature, we found a crab on the beach, lots of them.
>> Maldives private island.
>> Maldives paradise island.
>> Crystal clear waters. Maldives turquoise blue. I love the reflection of the water on this shot.
>> Anantara Kihavah resort deck chairs and umbrella. This is private for the beach villa residents.
>> Maldives jet skis.
>> Maldives sunbathing.
>> Infinity pool swimming.
>> Anantara resort main infinity pool. Sunset Maldives.
>> Cocktails. Dancing. Too much fun.
>> Sharks, baby sharks. We saw the sharks on every journey back to our water villa, mainly reef and black tip sharks.
>> Sunsets on our water villa. Cycling home drunk.
>> Maldives workout. Gym at Maldives. Silly dancing on the elliptical.
>> Erin leg workout. Smashing it. Beautiful view from our gym.
>> James shoulder press.
>> Erin running. Maldives workout.
>> James running. Maldives workout.
>> Maldives turtles. Or should I say, Maldivian turtles.
>> Swimming with turtles in the Maldives.
>> Snorkelling in the Maldives. Erin had a stinger top because we ran by two small jellyfish.
>> Parrot fish. Very shallow coral. Just outside our water villa.
>> More parrot fish in the Maldives. We filmed this about 20 metres from our water villa, this is where the coral sea floor drops from 1 to 30 metres into a deep blue abys.
>> Lilly shaped coral as far as the eye can see.
>> My ridiculously beautiful girlfriend who had never jumped into the ocean before this trip (apart from once time from my boat), diving and equalising to see the fish at the bottom of the house reef.
>> Maldives speedboat for a day of adventure. Life is good.
>> James diving and equalising. Clear sun above, clear reef below.
>> Diving in the Maldives. This video does not do reality justice, snorkelling we saw thousands and thousands of fish in every direction. The fish reflected in the sunlight and this literally took our breath away. What a memory.
>> Coming up for some air, coral, sun rays.
>> Boom ! Our friendly guide from the Maldives Kihavah took this video of us from below, with sun above
>> School of fish, coral wall. So many fish here it’s hard to believe. As far as the eye can see; fish.
>> jumping into pool at the water villa.
>> Maldives love.
>> Fresh coconuts every morning. A natural electrolyte.
>> Infinity pool Maldives.
>> Beautiful.
>> Anantara buffet restaurant. Dinner on the beach.
>> The best sommelier in the Maldives. Julian poured us 1966 Saint-Emilion, yes 50 year old bottles of wine. He got us drunk every other night. Very knowledgeable, Kihavah wine cellar holds over 10,000 bottles. Just a lovely guy. We were tempted for the 1776 Saint-Emillion but that would just be silly.
>> Salt. Salt Maldives is the Asian restaurant at Kihavah. I won’t talk this restaurant down but it was average for the money.
>> Fire. Maldives Fire is the Japanese restaurant at Kihavah. Wow. Amazing sashimi and teppanyaki. Chef cooks and prepares in front of you, he would regularly toss eggs in the air and cut them in half, mid flight.
>> Maldives coconuts. Maldives room service. Breakfast !
>> Sea. Maldives Sea is the underwater restaurant at Kihavah. Pretty special. Better marine life visibility during the day, very romantic at night. Just some of the wines on show as we walk towards the underwater restaurant.
>> Swimming in turquoise blue waters with turtles. We touched the turtle ! Only lightly of course because touching them really scares the turtles from coming to the surface for air, of which they need to every 15 minutes.
>> Maldives romance, celebrating after finally swimming with turtles. What a day. Champagne, Julius taught us how to open a bottle of champagne with a knife only. No bottle opener required.
>> My beautiful bebe.
>> Maldives, love.
>> Island paradise.
>> Sharks. Baby sharks. Black tip sharks. Maldives sharks. Way too excited, we sat for 30 minutes and didn’t move a muscle, then the sharks finally turned up. A beautiful experience swimming in the wild with baby sharks.
>> Seabob so much fun. Racing seabobs. We both raced the sea bobs, you won’t believe the speed, they push your neck back, fast. We then went under water with the sea bob.
>> Shark chasing and hunting fish. Amazing Maldives marine life.
>> Sea the Maldives underwater restaurant during the day. Underwater restaurant for breakfast. Mimosas and a 7 course breakfast. Butterfly fish, beautiful colours.
>> Swimming into the tank we swam passed a giant stingray that seemed to just stare at us for 5 minutes.
>> The staff at Maldives wave goodbye. Our trip is coming to an end, until the next time. Goodbye Maldives.
