The Grey. Huh, looked more like black to me.
♪
(male voice) Somebody's gonna find us.
(Liam Neeson as Ottway) Nobody's gonna find us. Not here.
We figure out what way is South, and we start walking.
(Tommy) Coming out of the theater, I was so happy.
They're still making good movies.
The unexpected thing about his one, was the humor.
They did a great job of just making jokes in a horrible situation,
just like we all would do.
(male) This will end up being one of those wild stories you tell at a party.
[howling wind]
(Tommy) I loved the sound design in this one.
[whistling wind]
It sounded cold! I just had that ice cold sound to it.
I was totally buying that it was the dead of winter.
Seems like they don't use the speakers in the back of the theater enough,
but this time they did. It just sounded spectacular.
And come on, who doesn't love a good plane crash every now and then.
[crash]
They even make it sound cool.
[scraping, interrupted by silent bursts]
The best thing about this movie is the acting.
And the characters aren't that well defined,
but my god, the performances are great.
Liam Neeson does such a good job of playing this guy who's just having a horrible life.
He makes a really good tough guy. I mean, he's so believable.
I was scared just watching him.
(Ottway) How are we going to deal with this? We kill him.
And I really like the performances of Frank Grillo and Dermot Mulroney.
As good as the performances were, I just don't think I cared about a lot of these characters.
So, the The Grey, I'm goin' 3 out of 4 eyes open.
The tension was pretty good in this one.
It just felt a little long at times, that's all.
