Everybody's quiet.
He says "Let me tell you
why you are looking for Allah
in Mecca? Because there is a light over there.
When you close your eyes
looking for Allah inside you,
there is darkness.
And you cannot see him because there's darkness.
So
you decided why not look for Allah
where there is light.
I'm doing exactly that."
See how a conclusion drawn
based on the wrong observation
can mislead you? It's a perfect
Sufi example of people drawing
the wrong conclusion.
That's what
is hinted here.
It's hinted here
"aap tharehi sagalae kul thaarae"
"aaeae sae paravaan hoeae mil preetham sukh paavaniaa"
"anthar vasath"
the real thing is inside.
"moorraa"; "moorraa" means the one
who has drawn the wrong conclusions.
"moorraa baahar bhaalae"
he's going outside.
And then what happens?
"manamukh andhae firehi baethaalae"
"baethaalae" means to go out of rhythm.
When you sing a song, there's a beat; right?
When the beat goes one way
and the musician goes the other way,
it goes out of beat. He is off beat.
He is "baethaala"
In this language, the word is Thaal.
Thaal means the one who is within the beat;
"Baethaal" means the one who is out of the beat.
Look at your life.
Is it within the rhythm
Is it within the beat?
If it was in the rhythm,
why would you be unhappy?
why would you be sad?
Why would you be miserable?
Then you will be in complete Synchronousity
in the entire nature.
But if nature does one thing
and you do the other,
That's called "to be in baethaal" isn't it?
Nature is celebrating that it’s raining outside
and the birds and the animals are running around.
The children are having fun.
Mothers are going nuts,
"You are going to get sick."
And the child says, "I'm good.
As a matter of fact every cloth I have on
I am going to take it off and throw it out.
I want to dance naked in this rain."
That little child is in
complete synchronousity with the nature.
It's the mother who is out of Thaal.
And we all do the same.
We are always trying to manipulate the nature;
change the nature.
When it's cold, we want it hot.
When it's hot, we want cold.
When it's raining, we want it to be dry.
When it's dry, we want it to rain.
It does not matter what nature does,
we want it to do the opposite.
We are never happy
When he gives us too much food,
we want to be thin.
When he makes us thin,
we want to be fat.
There is not enough food.
We are living a "Baethaal" life.
Out of Synchronousity
out of rhythm with the nature,
because it never comes out of our mouth.
Wah, What a beauty of nature.
How wonderful.
It was only raining a moment ago,
and now there is a complete sunshine.
You know what we say?
That's crazy.
Does it make sense it's raining in this spot and it's dry in here?
And that becomes a discussion point between us.
If you haven't
experienced it, experience it.
You'll be driving together
and you'll get out of Laguna
and before you hit Orange County
it is completely dry
and Laguna is still raining
and you'll be like, "What happened?"
Why? Now you want to analyze it.
The grattitude never arises within us.
It's a point of analysis.
Something to argue about.
That's "Baethaal".
manamukh andhae firehi baethaalae | jithai vath hovai thithahu koe n paavai
manamukh bharam bhulaavaniaa"
Wherever the true investment is required,
it does not do it.
It doesn't put the true investment there.
What should have happened?
If it was raining,
the mind should have been dancing.
And when you ran into a dry spot
the mind should have bowed gratitude.
Wow, you showed me both?
In a fraction of the moment?
I can see when you rain
and when you have to get dry.
Simultaneously?
In this body form?
In this life?
Wow.
It should have brought
ear-to-ear smile on your face.
Your heart and your eyes
should have been dancing with it.
But that is not the investment we make.
We make the opposite investment.
That's why
"jithai vath hovai" where the investment is required.
"thithahu koe n paavai" Nobody does it.
Only a meditator will do that.
Only a saint will do that.
Only the one who is in
complete Synchronousity,
togetherness with the ultimate nature
will do that.
"jithai vath hovai thithahu koe n paavai manamukh bharam bhulaavaniaa"
So what happens?
The whole of the life
just keeps on passing in front of our eyes
in this complete doubt filled with wrong conclusions,
forgetting the reality.
Trying to create the artificial nest around us.
We continue walking on the journey of life.
"aapae dhaevai sabadh bulaaeae;
mehalee mehal sehaj sukh paaeae;
naanak naam milai vaddiaaee aapae sun sun dhiaavaniaa"
It says that it is HIS grace.
Don't look at it being criticized.
Don't look at somebody is finding faults with you.
This is how the drama goes on.
It is up to you.
If you want to jump off the wheel of this karma or not.
It's up to you
if you want to say, "I have played enough roles.
I have been a mother many times.
A father many times.
I have been a brother, a sister,
everything many many times.
I am done with playing these roles.
I need to get out of this."
When that urge comes from you,
then "naanak naam milai vaddiaaee"
then you have to get hold on to that word.
And live that word.
Live that message.
"aapae sun sun dhiaavaniaa"
Then you follow the process.
Listening and saying.
"sun sun" means to hear
"dhiaavaniaa" means to say.
To go in to that ultimate state of Samadhi
You do have that potential in you.
Everyone of us has been given that gift.
