"I am not going to go into the actual figure, but indeed we have made an effort and shrunk
our primes (money) compared to those we had in the last AFCON in Gabon and Equitorial
Guinea. We have made some efforts when it comes to the bonuses paid for the qualification,
or the bonuses we get for playing now. There might still be some disagreement over the
bonuses for the semi-finals. But we said we will work it out. I, myself, actually told
the Minister that if we made it to the semi-finals and that there was still a disagreement over
the bonuses. I could myself contribute to these bonuses. But anyway, that's not what
matters here, this is not about money. You cannot imagine how moved and happy I am to
be here today, and be able to play a match that will bring joy to my country. This is
priceless. Money doesn't matter in such moments."
"When you look at me playing, do I look like an old man? I don't think so. I am only 33,
of course I won everything in football, I won all the titles, today the only I want
is to bring joy to my country. You cannot imagine how happy I am to be here, playing
with younger players and bringing joy to my country."
"I think we missed one game against Niger, and that's why we are out tonight. But as
the coach said, it's hard because we have a good team, we have some good players. And
I hope we are going to be back in March, with the coach, and we are going to play some good
games, to progress, to improve and be back hopefully in 2015 maybe."
