In animal news, researchers find that dolphins have complex communication skills. A study
by scientists from the Bottlenose Dolphin Research Institute of Italy reported that
dolphins use a broad range of whistles and other sounds to communicate and maintain a
social hierarchy. These include 14 audibly distinct vocal signals. It was also noted
that the vocalization of the more melodious sounds are a means by which a mother and her
calves stay in contact. Kudos, all researchers involved, for helping us to better understand
the nature of our gentle and intelligent co-inhabitants. We pray all gracious dolphins will be able
to swim the seas in joy, safety, and freedom for eons to come
