This style of collar is called a bullied collar with novelty embroidery. Obviously, I'm not
an embroidery fan but this option is out there. Granted, embroidery does not have to be like
I have it, little flowers, embroidery can be another setting, on your sewing machine
of stitch, that adds a little bit of a design element to it. The novelty part of this comes
in with the fact that the word novelty, it means not necessary. Having a novelty is not
a necessity. Novelty stitching is the embroidery, the embroidery is the novelty. You don't need
it, it just adds something to it. The bullied part of the collar, don't quote me on this
but this is the technical term for it, and, I believe, that it comes from the bottom,
it's all one collar, but the bottom part is in such a shape that it's a crescent moon.
Right there it curves and then we have the typical old, regular old top of the lapel
shape, right there.
