Hello, my name is Dr. Susan Jewell and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to talk
to you about signs of skin cancer. Now, in this clip, we're going to talk to you about
one of three types of commonly found, diagnosed skin cancer, and that is Squamous Cell Carcinoma.
Now, let's do a close up picture of what squamous cell carcinoma could look like. Now squamous
cell is less commonly found than diagnosed than basal cell carcinoma. Now, these lesions
are more commonly found in the scalp area or on the ear lobes. And, if you look closely
at the picture you can see that squamous cell carcinoma usually presents itself with red
crusty overlay and it doesn't heal very, very easily and bleeding is constant. Now, if you
see these lesions you definitely should follow up with your doctor and go and get a consult
and diagnosis. So, this is squamous cell carcinoma.
