High its J.D. Keating and we're here with the fantastic three, the musicians extraordinaire.
Madeline, Ava and Felix. (Girl) You mean the fantastic four, (J.D.) right, they're the
fantastic fours, and I stand corrected. So what we're doing now is making drums and again
we're trying to find, common household items, low cost and something's that are not necessarily
super, super loud. To make a drum what I found is a standard pineapple can or some other
can. Leave the label on because it's glued very well there and you can glue paper on
top of the existing paper, just like this. Now there are holes in the cans as you can
see and that's where we put our beads in, then you put your drum. (Mattie) And also
if you put your finger into the holes they might get caught. (J.D.) Right! That's the
one caution that we have for parents is before the kids get to putting in, into those holes
which can make a sharp hole. I would normally put a piece of duct tape over the hole. Thusly
where duct tape, it works for everything. We put a small piece of duct tape over it,
and then you poke a hole in the duct tape and that hides the sharp edges from the kid's
fingers. Kids generally like to poke their fingers in, so that creates a protective,
which protects the edge which can tend to be sharp and kids can have a possibility of
hurting themselves they'll probably do it.
