My name is Kamal ELsayed Hassan Youssef- from Alexandria
The Ministry of Interior gave each one of us 5000 pounds to chant “Long live Mubarak”
and beat up the Egyptian People
We are 30 guys
And I want to say two things
I took this money for two reasons
First because I provide for my siblings after our mother’s death
I took it but had I known that it would lead me to this..
I wouldn’t have taken it and let my siblings starve
I’ve phoned AlJazeera and Al-Hayat so they put me on TV..
so I can say all this publicly to the people
Did they give each person 5000 pounds?
Yes they gave each person 5000 pounds
How many others were with you?
We were many in the cell, but they let out 30 of us
What cell?
The Interior Ministry’s, in Alexandria
How did they gather you, know you?
My sister called, she was traveling..
She said come pick me up
There were people selling hashish so the police caught them..
And thought I was with them
They took me with them although I’m innocent
So you were imprisoned?
Yes
But unjustly
Where were you imprisoned?
On drug dealing charges like the others
Where were you imprisoned?
In El-‘Amreyya police station
When the protest started they took us to the Ministry of Interior
Who’s the officer that took you out?
What’s the name of the officer that took you out?
The one who paid us the money?
Yes
I don’t know his name, he was wearing a uniform..
And on its shoulder he had the court sign..
The one that looks like a scale
You don’t know the officer’s name?
No, nor his rank
Do you know any of the of the other officers’ names?
Anybody who has dealt with you?
There? In the cell?
Who was in charge of you on the way to here?
I don’t know, strange people
Who was transporting you?
The Ministry of Interior’s officer
What would you call him?
Long live Mubarak
What was the name of the officer transporting you?
We don’t know his name
