Hey guys! I'm really excited about this one! Today I am doing a Nigerian makeup tutorial
for a Nigerian traditional bride. If you wanna see how I got this look, then please keep
watching.
In the interest of time I am just speeding everything up and doing it all at once: I
am doing my brows, adding concealer, and then adding my Ben Nye Banana powder. If you want
to see this process is more detail, be sure to check out some of my other videos.
Since this is a wedding look, I want the contouring to be on point so I'm using a dark color on
top of a bronzer shade for some extra definition. I am applying this color right under my cheekbone.
Using a reddish brown color, I am going to warm up my crease and smoke it out so that
when I actually deepen the crease it will add a nice gradient. I'm going to base with
my Maybelline Color Tattoo to make sure that the color is a bright red and stays on as
long as possible with no smudge. That's really important for your wedding day.
I am now applying what will be the main shadow for the eyelid, Garnet from the LORAC Pro
palette, and I am applying that with a small shadow brush on the Maybelline tattoo. I'm
adding a darker color from the Sleek Storm palette, I am going to add some dimension
to the outer V of my eye. Using Espresso from the LORAC Pro palette, I'm going to deepen
the outer corner of my eye as well as the crease.
Now I am applying a light bronze, gold color to my browbone as a highlight. I am then going
to set my eyeliner with a matte black eyeshadow. I applied my eyeliner off camera.
Using the same garnet color I used on my eyelids, I am going to smoke the lower lash line out
for a nice smoky effect. I want to make sure that I can easily smoke out my liner with
a matte black shadow, so I am using a gel liner instead of a liquid liner.Using a black matte eyeshadow from my LORAC Pro
palette, I am going to blend out the line with a pencil brush because I don't want any
harsh lines. I want the look to be as soft and romantic as possible.
Using this pink gold color form the LORAC Unzipped palette, I am placing it in the inner
corner of my eye. This will give really nice dimension and make my eyes look elongated.
Now, because we don't want any shine, I am going to set everything with a translucent
powder. I am now applying my favorite blush, and it's great for this look because it's
very natural looking and has reddish undertones. I just blend everything in for a seamless
finish. That's a close up of the eyes, I chose very natural lashes with a wing to complement
the wing shaped eyeshadow I have applied.
This is twig by MAC, it's a really complementary color for this look. Here's my go to trick
you guys, to mattify the lip I am going to use a translucent setting powder and pat it
onto my lips. The reason I do it this way is because the lipstick itself is moisturizing.
Having a moisturizing lipstick that you mattify yourself is really great for long days because
you don't want your lips to dry out.
Hey guys, so that's the finished makeup look I hope you enjoyed it. I really enjoyed doing
something that hit a little closer to home, I enjoyed doing this look because I always
think brides look so beautiful on their wedding day. The important thing is to use colors
that go with your outfit, so you can swap in and out any colors that you think would
go best. I just used red because that's a color I see a lot of at these traditional
weddings.
This will work well on all different skin tones, it works well at night, it shows up
great in pictures, so if you want to see more looks like this--for Nigerian occasions or
for weddings, please be sure to let me know. And if you like this video, please be sure

Love you! Bye
