We have made several kind of candies using chocolate compound.
But today we are going to make caramel candy using cream and sugar.
This candy is very tasty.
Come, let’s prepare caramel candy.
Cream - 1 cup or 200 gram
Brown sugar - ½ cup or 100 gram
Plain sugar - ½ cup or 100 gram
Milk powder - ¼ cup or 30 gram
Honey - ¼ cup or 70 gram
Butter - 2 tbsp or 50 gram
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
To make caramel candy, firstly put the cream in a bowl and heat it.
Add brown sugar and plain sugar to it.
Add milk powder as well.
Mix it properly.
Cook it on low flame.
Add honey.
Now cook it on medium flame.
Keep stirring and cook till it has a thick consistency.
Make sure to stir it properly till the bottom of the bowl.
Our mixture is now quite thick.
Turn off the flame.
We get a good fragrance from it.
Pour a drop of the mixture on a plate this way and check if it has a thick consistency.
Turn off the flame.
Now add butter to it.
We will cook the mixture for 12-13 minutes on medium flame.
Take out the mixture in a tray to let it freeze.
Spread a foil in the tray.
We will put a utensil in the tray this way as our tray is too big and the mixture will become thin.
Take a 8*8 inch tray.
Now grease the tray by applying oil or butter on the foil.
Once the butter is melted, add 1 tsp vanilla essence to the mixture and mix properly.
Mix it thoroughly.
Our mixture is now ready to freeze.
Spread it evenly.
Now let's freeze the candy.
Then we'll cut it into pieces.
The candy will freeze in 2-3 hours.
Now cut the wrapping sheet into pieces of 1 cm each.
Cut it using a pizza cutter.
As per our choice, we can cut the candy into big or small pieces.
Cut the edges.
We can cut the candy into any shape or size that we want.
Separate the candy pieces and put it on a plate.
Now let’s wrap the candies in wrapping sheets.
Wrapping sheets are easily available in the market.
Cut it into small pieces.
Cut it as per the size of the candy so that it is wrapped easily.
Cut 1 wrapping sheet into 8 pieces.
Fold the wrapping sheet 8 times and then cut it.
Now let’s wrap the caramel candy.
Put the caramel candy on top of the wrapping sheet and roll it this way.
Fold the foil properly from the ends as well.
Our caramel candies are wrapped.
Wrap all the caramel candies similarly and put it in a plate.
Our caramel candy is now ready.
Very tasty caramel candy is prepared.
It is easy to make caramel candy.
While cooking, make sure the candy has a thick consistency.
If we have candy thermometer, then these candies can be made more easily.
Dip the candy thermometer in the mixture and cook it till 120 degrees centigrade or 250 fahrenheit and then let it freeze.
The candy will freeze in 2-3 hours.
Then cut into pieces and wrap it up.
If the wrapping sheets are not available, then you can even wrap the candies in the foil that is available at home.
Caramel candies are made easily, so make it for your children whenever they would like to eat.
