Hello hello hello. I am Brianne, natural skin care expert from nabele.com. And this right
here, is skin tip Tuesday.
[music]
Today I want to talk about food. Food Brianne? But you talk about skin care. I know and food
has everything to do with skin care. How? I'm glad you asked.
Have you ever heard the phrase, "you are what you eat?" Now most people take that concept
to mean that if you want to be healthy you need to eat healthy. And if you eat junk,
you're probably going to feel like junk. Which is true. But I want to break the concept down
even further.
First, let me throw some interesting facts at you.
That was me throwing facts.
Did you know your body is constantly rebuilding itself? Tearing down the old one and building
up a new one. Not all at once of course because that would be weird.
But most of the cells in your body go through a cycle. They live, they die, they get replaced.
That means things get renewed. Did you know all of the cells in your lungs are only three
weeks old? That means you've only had your lungs for three weeks.
Your liver is only five months old. Your bones get replaced every 10 to 20 years. That means
if you lived to be 80, you're going to have four full sets of bones. Your skin, bringing
skin back into this, your skin depending on your age gets replaced every four weeks.
All of that means in 10 years from now, you will be a different person.
[explosion sound] Right?
Fascinating Brianne, but what does this have to do with food and skin care again?
I'm getting to that, thank you for hanging in there.
So if your body is constantly renewing itself, building new cells that build new tissues
which build new organs, and yes, skin, where does the building material come from?
You ARE what you eat. Literally.
Think about that the next time you're eating a double double.
[gasp]
If you have shoddy building materials, you're probably going to build a shoddy house.
In case you didn't follow the analogy, I'm saying that if you eat crap, you're probably
going to look and feel like crap.
Now is eating healthy the only factor? Of course not, but it's a pretty big one. So
to feel good AND look good, feed yourself right.
It doesn't have to be difficult. Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, cut back on
the processed food, cut back on the sugar. That is going to go a long way to give you
healthy body and healthy skin.
And that is what food has to do with skin care.
