Hi I’m Christina Wadlington from EPA’s Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics.
Did you know that almost a million kids have lead poisoning at some level?
Lead exposure can be toxic to the brain and cause lowered intelligence and life long learning disabilities.
Did you also know that lead poisoning is 100% preventable?
That’s why we need your help to get the word out about lead hazards
and what people can do to raise awareness about lead safety.
You can spread the word by making a video and submitting it in the
EPA, CDC, and HUD’s Lead Poisoning Prevention video contest.
Winning videos will receive prizes in the amount of $2500, $1500, and
$1000 and be featured on EPA’s, CDC’s, and HUD’s web sites.
For more information about the contest, and to learn more about lead poisoning prevention, go to epa.gov/lead.
This is your chance to get creative and help your community. We look forward to seeing what you can do!
