Um, hi guys. I'm Radfordhound, and today I'm going to be playing Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.
So, um, yeah. Let's get started.
It's been a while since I've recorded this.
So, uh, let me find my old world.
Here it is. It's been a long time, actually.
Yeah, but I really do like Minecraft.
It's just that, I don't know. I just never got around to recording it that much.
I don't know why.
Okay! So, um, we last left off here.
Now we're actually in HD. And that's really good.
I see a sheep in the distance.
Lamb. Eh, whatever.
Okay, let's see. Um...
Okay. Uh, I guess today, we're gonna' go mining.
So let me, um... start cooking some of this food.
And then we're gonna' go down into the mines.
Weee....
La la la...
Oh, come on! Really?
Fine.
I guess in the mean time I, uh... I can go out and get some of this... oh, wait a minute.
Do I have some in the chest?
No, I do not. I am a world class timewaster.
Okay. Um...
Yeah. I don't know what there is to say about this so far. We're just
kinda'... breaking into the ground.
Um, yeah. This is really my first, um... let's play
episode done with this mic-- sorry, um, what was I saying?
Done with this capture card.
And I want to say that I'm having some problems with the blue screen of death.
On, um... Windows 7.
...With this capture card.
And it hasn't been very enjoyable.
It took me actually the entire day just to get the program open again because it kept
blue-screening!
And I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with it. I've updated all my drivers.
It only happens when I plug in a capture card.
It happened with my EasyCap so I had to use Ubuntu for that.
But Ubuntu doesn't seem to work very well with the Roxio.
I've asked for help on forums. But, I haven't got much help yet.
There's lots of people trying to help me, which is nice. But, you know.
We haven't really found the problem yet.
So, yeah! So I got the program open today, and I'm just gonna' go with it.
So, I hope that this episode comes out alright.
Because, actually, I was really dumb and didn't back up my world.
So, if this let's play goes wrong... anything that I do in this episode will basically be...
like... you know what I mean.
Let's make a crafting table. Not there!
And, uh... WHY DID I MAKE A FURNACE?!?
Okay. So, um, stone sword... pickaxe, shovel, axe..
you know. All the stuff I didn't make LAST episode. That I... really should've made.
Alright.
Yeah, but with this whole Roxio thing, I mean...
Sorry I had to cut that! A friend of mine came online, and I didn't know if he wanted
his gamertag freely posted on Youtube.
So, I didn't.
*singing to music in background* Diigggiinnnggg ssttoonneee...
Oh. Gravel.
Ah. There goes my shovel.
So, I'm really hoping we find some really good mines.
Like, cave systems.
That's what makes mining in Minecraft fun.
And on the Pocket Edition, since there isn't any caves yet, it just isn't so fun.
I mean, you think "Well, that's goofy! It's the exact same thing, just, you know. No caves."
Well, yeah. But it's just something about the caves!
I guess it's just the feeling of exploration. And every new world feels like... you know.
Like a different world.
And without them it just feels like you dig and dig forever.
Like, well, what I'm doing now.
And it gets kind of boring. So, hope I can find some caves soon.
I know a world I have with a really good cave system.
I mean, it was like, beyond awesome.
Uh oh! I just heard...
a Skeleton. Eh, not so bad.
Hello, skeleton!
HEY! How DARE you harm me!
I'm gonna' beat you with my FIST!
Yeah! Take that!
Eh, you know what?
Yeah. There we go.
Alright. Um... here's some coal.
...that I somehow missed.
Wait.. do I need that? Oh, yeah. That's right.
*singing* La la la... la la la.
Here's some more coal.
Hang on a minute. Let me... make some torches.
We were kinda' running low.
Yeah. Well, um, I hope I don't have any more blue screens, or anything with this Roxio,
because...
it's a really good capture card. And it's a shame.
My old Easycap did the same thing and I just thought "Oh, well, you know. It's just the
Easycap."
Apparently it's not.
Uh oh!
Who's invading my mine now?
I mean, as the name implies it is MINE...*Bad pun. XD*
Oh!...Oh!
That sound was from down there!
We found a cave! YYaayyy!
Umm....
Is that... A SLIME?!?
Really? Already!
You've GOT to be kidding!
Okay, well... I guess I just did!
I'll go down there in a minute, but first I need to get all this coal.
*Says with accent* COAL! MINDE DA COAL!
Woah! We broke into the cave again!
Eh. I've gotta' stop crouching.
Oh, yeah. And in the last episode I was a creeper.
Now I'm... SWEATHER STEVE!!!
It's more Christmas-y.
But Christmas is, well, already over. So I guess I should change it.
Actually, you know what? I'm going to change it.
Let's see. Um, yeah. I have Skin Pack 2...
and the birthday skin pack. Which... was actually a free download. I was like "Oh my gosh! Yay!".
And, uh... I have the trial version of this.
And I bought the festive skin pack.
I was like, "You know what? It's the holidays. I need to have some festive Minecraft skins."
I could be the creeper with the santa hat... but, I guess the holidays are over at this
point. So, I probably shouldn't.
I could use that, but, um...
of course I have the default skin pack.
Uhhh...
Yeah, you know what?
I'm gonna' be dressed up Steve.
Tuxedo Steve!
...I don't know.
Aw, man!
Okay. Um...
um, oh. Really?
Okay, um... as you can tell by the music the sun's coming up.
That's right. I just said that. You can actually tell by the music when the sun's coming up.
This song usually, like I said, means that the sun's rising.
I don't know why. It's a good sun-rising song, I guess.
Alright. Come here!
...Yeah.
Woot! Our first slime! ...Oh, and a creeper.
Hello creeper.
Ah! Oh well. So he blew up...
Alright, let's get this.
Okay.
Well! Here we ARE! We've got a WONDERFUL little cave to explore here!
Ooh! It's bigger then it looks! I like that!
This water! It's like... tinted!
It might just be my TV, but... Eh. Let's get this coal.
Oh uh... hmm... um...
Okay, let's do this. In case I need water from now on,
break this and we get water!
So, let's put a wooden plank here...
and then...
Plop down a crafting table...
and make some signs.
Pop. Alright. And then, I'm gonna' make a sign that says...
It's gonna' say "Break...
for"...
and you know the last word. "Water."
Uh... here they are.
Yeah. There we go. "Break for water."
So, you break that block, and you get water.
More coal, for us.
Cause' Steve REALLY wants to make a lot of torches.
Yeah, but this is the kind of thing I'm talking about.
I don't know why, but there's just something fun about exploring caves.
Like, I guess it just gives you the feel of "I'm in an open world and I can do whatever
I want."
Cause' I mean, you know. When I see this I go "Oh, yay!" and end up-- at least I can
end up spending HOURS in these caves
just trying to grab all the loot.
That's why I like Minecraft so much, actually.
I like Creative mode, but it's just not the same.
If you build a castle in Creative it's like "Yay! I spent 30 minutes to build a castle."
If you build it in Survival, it's like, wow.
You know. It's a real achievement.
Aw, darn it! I hear a spider! I know what's gonna' happen.
I'm gonna' get attacked while I'm typing this sign.
Right? ...RRRIIIIIggghhhtt???
Yeah, right. We're going right.
Alright. *Reading sign* "Water."
I need to plug in a USB keyboard, Cause' the Xbox keyboard...
it takes a little effort to type on it.
Alright. Where's that zombie at?
Wow. That's iron over there, I think?
Just gonna' try to grab all the loot I can find.
See, the way I do it is what I imagine most Minecraft players do.
I just walk around, and if I see somthing I want, I grab it.
And... *gets hit* there he is.
And, um, of course I fight mobs if I run into them like that.
Wait... I hear a zombie.
Here he is! THAT'S the zombie I've been hearing!
Alright. Um, yeah.
I fight monsters if I run into them...and I place torches if I have them, which I usually
do--
Woah! That was like, almost, ow!
Come on! Go!
Sorry, a friend came on--Ah! Another one!
It was the same friend! I don't know how he can do that!
This guy turns on his Xbox, and then, he'll play on it for, like, 10 minutes. Then he'll
log off.
And then he'll turn it back on again and play for another 10 minutes! And then he'll log
off, and you know. Endless loop.
So, I'm constantly seeing "he logged on!" "he logged on!". And, well, since I never
see it doesn't tell me if he logged off or not...
it gets kind of annoying.
Alright, I hear that spider some where.
Until he attacks me, I don't really want to pursue him.
First I want to mine this coal.
Wow! This is a really big cave, actually!
This could take a while to explore!
If we can find an abandoned mineshaft, I will be the happiest being on earth!... Or maybe
an end fortress?
Because those are a heck of a lot of fun to explore.
And they usually lead to other caves.
...Which means you can get trapped in them for HOURS!
It's a blast!
And speaking of blast, here comes a creeper. Boom. Um, let's see if... I don't SEE any
creepers at least.
But, you know. Creepers gotta' creep.
Alright, now where's this spider that's... ticking me off?
You don't tick me off.
Alright, you know what? I've gotta' stop mining this coal. I've got-- I've got plenty.
I'll just get one more stack and then I'll-- and then I'll stop.
*singing* La la la... Alright. Um...
I'm gonna' leave that there, cause' that water might actually be helpful-- oh, look!
There's a monster!
Yeah, I'll just.. go down here.
Woah! What? Where... THAT'S where the spider is?!?
Underwater!
That's weird! Can they swim?
I HOPE they can't swim, cause'... oh, look. There's a zombie.
Hello, zombie! Thought you could sneak up on me, didn't you?
Yeah!
You can't sneak up on me!No, no, no!
NO ONE can sneak up on... TUXEDO STEVE!
..Yeah.
Cool effect.
Alright, moving on people.
Alright, coal... coal galore!
More coal, more coal, Marco. Polo!
Eh, I don't know why. It just sounded like I was saying that...
Grab that...
Did, uh-- I see torches. Yeah, these were placed by me.
Okay.
I can make some good iron tools with this!
Funny how I'm finding iron in the second episode.
Ow!
Alright, and, grab that...
No! Darn it!!!
HA!
I THOUGHT I saw something over here!
I was like "There's something lurking in the distance!".
Um...
Is that a fog effect? Really?
Cool!
Woah! Oh! Wait a minute...!
OH MY GOSH!!!
Wow!
This is a really cool cave!
I was hoping I would find something like this!
Okay, let's see, I have to get 32 more blocks of coal and then STOP MINING IT!!!
Because it's like *says in stupid-sounding voice* "Oh, look! Lava! Woah, look! A creeper!
Woah, Diamond! Oh yeah, I gotta' get some coal, man."
It's like, ugh. Sorry.
I just want to get enough because... I mean... I guess I'm already over-loading with it,
but...
you gotta' make some torches. I mean, come on.
Alright. Let's see. Um... well, let's eat.
I think it's about night time again.
Uh huh. I think I'm going to have to make another pickaxe...
Because it's starting to break.
Alright, there we go.
Pickaxe will go here. Sword will go there.
Crafting table will go there.
Rotten flesh will go here... because no one likes it.
I mean, seriously. What the heck are you supposed to do with it?
You can't do anything! There's just nothing! Even gravel is more useful because you can
use it to get flint.
Which, by the way, we can make some fint and steel already.
We have that obsidian down there which, heh heh...
We just have to find some diamond and then we can go to the Nether!
It's like, wow! Already!
Alright. Um...
*singing* La la la... La la la..
Aw, man! Bro! *Pretend crying* Waaaa!
Uh, 57... 58... 59...
63, for crying out loud!
...64! I am NOT ALLOWED to get any more coal now.
I have reached my coal limits.
I'm banned from coal for a week!
...It is rather tempting.
But I musn't grab it!
Okay. Let's see. Um...
There's like, nothing here. Nothing at all.
Oh! Except for you!
You can't steal the spotlight!
REDSTONE?!?
REDSTONE!
Really? Well, that's a lucky find!
Let's see...
Well now I wish I would've brought that furnace I accidentially made.
Alright.
Let's make this.
It's just a matter of time and then this redstone will be mine!
*says with accent* YA!
And look at all the lava. I've got to be seriously careful around here.
Let's see...
Plop.
Um... come on! Come on!
Yes!
Iron Pickaxe!
...and redstone! WOOT! Yeah!
That's got to be one of the best stones in the game!
Is that-- Lapis Lazuli!
I see it! In the distance!
Calling my--oh, darn it.
...Calling my name.
Um...
Glad I didn't fall yet!
Alright. Um...
Can you-- Yeah, you can get that with stone. Yay!
Okay, um...
Uh oh! Okay, good!
Lapis Lazuli, it just looks really good.
I never really use it in any of my buildings but it does look really good.
It's a really nice color.
It's BLUE!
And... believe it or not... this episode is almost over.
Wow.
Is that-- is that gold?
Oh, what a perfect ending!
We found gold! Yay!
Now we can make a clock!
On episode two for crying out loud!
Wow!
I just need to get back to that crafting table before the episode ends!
Hurry!
Hurry Radfordhound- Wait, what-- WOAH!
There's a meanie around here!
Alright, uh, better be very careful! Don't want--
Ah, wait!
..Okay?
Alright. Now, run!
Back to the crafting table, light speed!
Alright, and...
Ugh! I forget how you make a clock! Where is the recipe?!?
Uh--oh, right.
Come on, two more!
We've got, like, 50 more seconds before-- before I need to end this.
I'm trying to make this 30 minutes max.
That should be enough coal.
Okay, come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. You can do it!
*Sings rather stupid sounding song. XD*
We've got, like, 30 seconds now.
*Sings rather stupid sounding song again. XD*
Come on. Come ON! You can DO IT!
Wait, is that iron I'm making? Oh, stupid me!!!
*Chuckles*
Oh, that was really dumb! We've got 20 seconds now! There is no way.
Ah well. We can make the clock next time.
Um, thank you for watching, guys. And, uh, like, comment, and Subscribe if you liked...
and, um, yeah. Bye!
