The beauty of Cal Poly Pomona’s MBA program is that the program and the classes are large
enough to attract a very diverse group of individuals from a variety of different industries,
but small enough to still have that intimate feel and be an intimate setting in the classroom.
The learning environment here, I would say is very much a collaborative working environment.
It’s a lot of face-to-face time with the professors. I also think that the classroom
size here is very small and it really makes for a very close knit community. You’re
really able to build on relationships that could also help with future networking and
career opportunities. Classes are always engaging. You get personalities
and opinions and views from so many different lenses. The relationships that I’ve built
and the skills that I’ve taken away have really advanced my career.
The class environment is really diverse. People are not only from different cultures, but
also from different educational and professional backgrounds. As an international student,
I was really scared of coming to a new country and I was scared of not being welcomed. But,
students at Cal Poly Pomona and the culture at Cal Poly Pomona is really welcoming and
I’ve learned a lot from all the classes. I’ve really gained a network, a group of
individuals who I trust and that I can go to for advice currently and I’ll certainly
maintain that network after I graduate. The new complex is fantastic. The way it’s set
up and the classrooms have a phenomenal amount of technology available. The part I like the
most is the fact that it’s all in one central location. And to have that kind of intimate
setting is very, very important and I think it’s great for this program.
