Hello everyone! Today I received a new monitor - BenQ XL2411T, so I decided to test it and see how good it is a for a professional gamer.
First and foremost, once you set it up on your table, you have to see how convenient it is to use a monitor by looking at its ability to turn and its rotation angles.
So when you sit down you adjust its angle. That's what I am doing right now - I am adjusting its angle, so it faces me directly.
Good thing about this monitor is its ability to turn. It can rotate almost up to 45 degrees both outwards and inwards. That's very practical.
Another important quality that became up-to-date due to latest technological developments is a refresh rate. BenQ XL2411T has 144 Hz refresh rate.
It means that a monitor displays 144 frames per second, meaning that what you see is what is actually happening in-game.
If you have an old monitor that has 60 Hz refresh rate or even less, a picture will lag behind an actual in-game situation.
In conjunction with the previous function, another important variable is a response rate. BenQ XL2411T has a response rate of 1 ms.
Therefore you will avoidle having blinks that can disturb you while playing.
Picture won't be distorted, so I, as a professional gamer, won't be at a disadvantage in the middle of a team or an ambush.
I'll be able to distinguish what kind of spells my opponents have used and will be able to react accordingly. It is important for professional players to have a low response rate.
Having got to know the most important parameters of a monitor like response and refresh rates, I decided to go through the settings.
The first thing that had caught my attention was a green square, so I pressed it. This monitor has different projection types. That's an ideal option for a pro gamer.
If you, for instance, have a 19 inch monitor, while the tournament monitor is 24 inch, you can adjust it to your home setting.
The opposite is possible as well. If you have a 24 inch monitor at home, whereas the tournament monitor is 22 inch, you can prepare for the tournament, while playing on 22 inch monitor.
The next thing I came across was a predefined display settings, which are suitable for different activities. It's achieved by having predefined colors and contrasts. There is a setting for watching movies, my favourite standard setting (I like it for being very bright), photo setting, FPS shooter setting and settings that we can adjust ourselves.
For instance, we choose "Player One" setting, adjust it and save, so it is available for us at all times.
Another important option is a so called "Black eQualizer". It is primarily important for FPS like Battlefield, Quake, CS. It allows dark places to become lighter.
Dark places are the best places for hiding. Black eQualizer allows you to respond quicker and to make a favourable decision.
In my limited spare time I like to watch movies, and there is nothing better than watching movies in 3D.
Another great thing about this monitor is that it has 3D Vision. In order to watch movies in 3D, you need BenQ monitor, 3D glasses and NVIDIA GPU that supports 3D.
In my view, BenQ XL2411T monitor is one of the best in terms of Price-Quality relationship, therefore I advise everyone to use it.
My review of BenQ XL2411T monitor is over. I am a captain of Gambit BenQ League of Legends team, Alex Ich. Thank you for watching and goodbye.
