I want to ask you something today; Do you know where you are headed? I used to be a
lukewarm Christian and I know all about what lukewarm means. Jesus said in Revelation 2
and Chapter 3 to repent and he said about the lukewarm church in one of his first letters,
he said I wish you were hot or I wish you were cold but because you are neither hot
nor cold I will spit you forth from me. You see Jesus wants us to be hot but he doesn't
want us to be lukewarm. He would rather you be cold which means just a complete unbeliever
and don't hold to his name, or he would want you to be hot which means that you have the
gospel living in you and you are a doer of the word. Now I used to be following my own
ways, I used to profess Jesus and I would say hey I believe in Jesus but then I would
continue to sin. You see when you continue to sin, you are lukewarm. That is why I asked
you at the beginning of this video; where do you think you are going? Are you going
to be spewed out? Or are you going to be saved? Are you hot for Jesus Christ; that means are
you salt in the world? Are you standing for the name of Jesus or are you like this generation
that just stands sin sin. A lukewarm believer is somebody who goes around with their worldly
friends and they compromise the truth. They are people who do sin they also condone sin.
It is usually these people who will come against a hot Christian more than anybody else because
they know that they need to repent and they're not right with God. That is why I asked you,
are you hot for Christ do you know where you're going? Or are you cold or you just lukewarm!
Remember friends, the lukewarm believers will not inherit the kingdom of God because Jesus
said that they'll be spewed out. Spewed out means sent forth from his body. When we compromise
in the world doing our sins laughing at evil, partaking in evil, we will not inherit the
kingdom of God. The kingdom is only for him who separates himself from the world's ways
and his sins, and the desire of the flesh, and he gives himself to the gospel. He is
serious about Jesus every day. He longs to have the Spirit of God in him to lead him
so he doesn't compromise in sin and worldly paths. He stands for the truth. Who do you
stand for? Do you stand for the morals and ways of this world? Or are you standing for
Jesus when you go out. Are you one of those carousing lukewarm believers, that Jesus will
spew forth from his body? Do you know where you are going! How serious are you about Jesus
Christ and his gospel? May the Lord bless you
