"And Rybak fell in love with the blond girl, And they won the “Zirka+zirka” show, And then they have been living happy and long"
That is approximately how Sasha translates the contain of all Norwegian folk songs.
What else one should sing about, but the love?
The show director: Katya, where is Rybak? K: I don't know, I don't sleep with him, so....
D: And that's bad! If you do so, you could wake him up in the morning and take him to the rehearsal in time.
If she took close to her heart all mean tricks made by Rybak, she wouldn't seat here now.
K: We don't communicate with Sasha, we listen to different music, we watch different movies.
We have far different attitude to this projsect.
A: Good afternoon! D: Good afternoon. Please check the microphones.
K: There must be some mutual will...I have experienced such life situations, when I should played the leading role, you know, to be such a "man" for them.
In this case, I really don't want to be like that.
There were some difficult moments, such nerves breakdowns, when I tried to convince, to explain something....
I came here to be something more than just a "servant girl", who should only to please Sasha. I'm also playing my role here.
A: Sometimes I let it be her way, but sometimes I should hurt her and say: "I'm sorry, but you will sing it in a bad way, I'm sure!"
Well, I'm very honest, but in the same time I'm fair.
Vocal teacher of the project: I have an impression that he has no relation to the real life. So he hovers in the sky with all his projects....
A: Last week I had too much of everything. I was at 5 different shows in 5 countries, every week. So I understand now that I'm not a Superman.
I'm Batman!
K: I wouldn't dance under his tune [ means to do everything he says], it's not in my character.
Probably, if I knew that all beforehead I wouldn't take part in it.
I'm dissapointed. I am dissapointed.
H: Our Katya held on as long as she could, but she failed and she was pecked at the Rybak's rod!
That's why now she took her young girl's heart and bring it through the space to Rybak.
Alexander Rybak, Kateryna Kuznetsova!
K: Well Sasha, have you found the button?
A: No, no.
K: Sasha, but how that is possible? It's on the left side, on the top! A: On the left side, on the top...
K: Yes! A: Ah here is the left! K: Sasha! A: I have found it, found it!
K: Ok! A: Ok, are you ready? See! K: Ok, let's see...
A: Watch, this I've learned for you!
[singing a Norwegian folk song "Det står en friar ut i garden"/There is a suitor at the door]
There is a suitor standing outside, dear! There is a suitor standing outside, dear!
How much money does he have, my daugther? How much money does he have, my daugther?
A: Don't remember more.. K: Sasha, wait, I don't understand anything! What is this song about? A: Nothing to understand, it's in Norwegian.
K: I understand that it's Norwegian! Let me sing you now, ok? Listen to my song! A: Ok.
[the Ukrainian song "Magic violin" originally sang by Ukrainian female singer Taisiya Povaliy]
A white wing bird has sat on a poplar,
The sun set down the fields in the evening,
I fell in love, fell in love to the pain,
With a young, a young fiddler.
Fell in love, charmed by a string,
That melody was lost in the forest,
And to the green forest in the crane spring
I've been carried my heart to the fiddler.
I've been going to him like a moon princess,
I've been going to him, as the spring goes to March,
But I didn't know that this magic music
Has not sounded for me, but for the other girl.
A bird has sat....
A: Katya, and you could sing afer all!
K: Listen, but do you play the violin? That is really....
A: Well, yes I've been practicing...Ok, I won't do that again! K: Everything is clear with you now!
H: Alexander Rybak, Katerina Kuznetsova! More, more of your applause!
We understood everything what Katya sang, "she fell in love with a young fiddler", but what did you respond her in Norwegian? We didn't understand a word! Please, tell us, what the song about?
A: The Norwegian song is about .... about the boy fell in love with a girl...
... and then he became a man. K: Whom he became?
H: And then he became a man! Katya, did he say you what he sings about or not?
He just predicted all your relationships. Is there something about married couple life? Or you just didn't start to sing that?
K: I thought that song was about animals, honestly. H: You see, it's good that we figured out that!
In other case, you could refuse that song in time. Well, Ukrainian, Norwegian, it's already relative-languages. How, do you like this performnace, dear jury? Potap!
P: I think Sasha was at the ***-site, as he sang his Norwegian song so merrily. But Katya was at the dating site and things went not luckily to her.
So, this "unsaid part" between you two, this deviding of two songs, and there were no contact between you at all, and the idea of the performance wasn't clear. That all confused me a bit.
I really wish to see a couple after all! A couple, which fights, which fells in love, which worries.... But as far as we cannot express a digital-love, as you failed with a digital-song. Thank you very much.
H: Thank you! At least you met in the Skype, so there we could expect a duet from them! Ruslana Pysanka?
R: Guys, honestly, I expected much more "fire" from you, than I have actually seen.
Something wrong with the dramaturgy, why don't you make some argue between Norwegian and Ukrainian song? We need to see some process...
And now we have that Katya sang good, Sasha sang good, but we still don't have a duet!
K: Thank you! H: Verka Serdyuchka?
V: You know, in contrary with Popap I wasn't confused with oddness of the performance. I loved this funny piece of Sasha
because I do the same behind the mirror when I'm in a good mood. Very funny performance!
H: Perfect! Thank you Vera! Laima Vaikule?
L: Beautiful couple, two young and beautiful people, but... Sasha, you should ensure you sing more than Katya next time. Because you do it better.
H: Thank you, Laima! In any case this duet has a destiny to be successful. He is a son of fisherman, she is a daughter of soccer player [Katya's father is famous Soviet soccer player] like spring goes to March you go to the art-caffee with your applause!
H: Great couple, he doesn't understand what she sings, and she doesn't understand him.
V: Yura, but me and you, we speak different languages, but we perfectly understand each other! [host always speaks Ukrainian, but she speaks Russian]
I: And we are speaking one language with you, but sometimes we don't understand each other.
V: Welcome the duet now, do you understand? I: Yes! Welcome, friends! Alexander Rybak!
and beauty...how to call her? V: Katya Kuznetsova!
I: The beauty and the singer! Katya Kuznetsova and Rybak. V: Do you believe in digital-love? Have you had such life experience?
K: I have a distant love and it's successful.
A: That was a story how we found each other before the Zirka+zirka show.
V: Ask in Norwegian for four 10s!
[asks in Norwegain] I: Yura, save us!
H: Well, thank you art-caffee! And our jury will estimate the two halves, Norwegian and Ukrainian, in one whole ponit. Verka Serdyuchka?
V: I would give you a point to make your mood great, even if I'm not happy with your performance. 10 points!
H: 10 from Verka Serdyuchka! Laima Vaikule?
L: For charming Sasha and for Katya, which is my favorite name, but to make it fair as it wasn't very good, I would give 8.
H: 8 from Laima Vaikule! Potap?
P: Guys, I really wish to give you 7... Art-caffee: Noooooo! Potap, change your mind!
P: And they seems to agree on that, am I right? A: But you're professional, well, give it to us!
P: Well... I: They are stoping you with the power of their thoughts!
P: You know, I'd like to make you more active, I wish you fight for the victory. That's why I give you 8! Don't give up, never!
A: Thank you for that! H: 8 points from Potap! Ruslana Pysanka?
R: A short question, guys, do you want to win?
A: Of course we want! K: Of course! R: What, what? Please, repeat, I didn't understand.
A: I say we do, of course! K: Yes! A: Let's do it together! Of-course-we-want! K: Of course we want [imitating his accent]
R: Tell me together, what do you want? A: I'm speaking normal...
A: Emm.... K: 10 points!
R: I give you 8. As you cannot say it together, it's just one phrase!
H: 8 points from Ruslana Pysanka.
A: Tomorrow we will practice and we'll do it better next time. K: Yes. Thanks you.
V: You have difficult week ahead , after having those points. But anyway, nice performance! A&K: Thank you
