I'm super competitive. So obviously I like to win. And I hate to lose, which is something
that definitely drives me a lot.
I've had races where I was a half a second out. And I knew I could have gone a lot faster
in places.
I think that's when I flipped the switch in my mind where I decided that I was going
to go all out as hard as I could.
It didn't mean I was going to ski dumb and just blow out all the time. It just meant
that I was going to bring the right intensity to the right parts of the course.
And just not leave anything on the hill, whether that was winning or whether that was getting
fourth place or blowing out.
I wanted to come to the finish line and be happy that I left it all out there.
When you come across the finish line and you know you've given it your all, it's really
satisfying even despite what the time ends up being, because you knew you couldn't
have gone any faster.
My main goal I would say is to win the giant slalom gold medal in the Olympics.
