We've been looking at how tight is right early in a tournament. But we don't want to be too
tight. There are times even early in a tournament where you've got to be willing to go broke.
Because you're only gonna end up in the money eight to ten percent of the time. And really
if we're talking about a major tournament, it's not about cashing. It's about making
the final table, it's about making the top three, it's about becoming a celebrity, a
poker celebrity. I think that's what most people are playing tournament poker for. It's
certainly what I'm playing for. So let's look at this scenario, the action has folded around
to the dealer and he looks down and he sees ace ten. Well, you know what, this guy happens
to be kind of looks and he raises, he raises it to three times the big blind. Small blind
looks down, pair of jacks, he says you know what, I know the dealer is loose and once
more jacks are a very good hand. I'm going all in.
