Welcome Back! In this Thesis Theme Tutorial Video
we will customize how the Thesis Theme post images appear on your site
these are just the default settings for the Thesis Theme post images
but once they are set you can still change them on a post-by-post basis
if you don't do anything, the default settings determine how the images appear
I will show you how they can be changed in this Thesis Theme Tutorial
we will look at the default settings first in the Thesis Theme dashboard
On the test site I have added images to the posts
so you can see how the post images and teaser thumbnails appear
as I said they can be changed on a post-by-post basis as well.
In the Thesis Theme dashboard the images section shows how and where the images appear
by default the pst images are selected to appear on the left with no text wrap
this means the image appears with no text surrounding it
and it also appears above the post headline
the image will also appear in the post itself
and in the Thesis Theme archive pages
we can change these settings
lets centre the image to appear in the middle of the post area
we'll also select the image to appear below the headline but above the bylines.
and we'll also add a frame to the image
press the 'Big *** Save Button'
refresh your screen
the image now appears in the centre of the post
we can play around with these settings
I'm going to now change the image to appear on the left of the post
but now it will have the post text 'wrapped' on the side of the image
so the image will appear beside the text
Save that and refresh the screen
the image now appears on the left with the text surrounding it
so lets now change an individual post
I know we haven't gone through the Thesis Theme Post Editor area
but the Thesis Theme has an area to set the image settings for that post.
we can see the default settings already let's set the image to appear on the right
and place it above the headline
and we will remove the frame for this post
Click on the 'Update' button to update the post
and we will go back to the home page
and we can see that the image is now on the right of the post
the frame is gone and it the headlines appear beside the image
the default settings have it appearing beneath the headline.
so although we have set the default settings we can still customise them
In the next Thesis Theme Tutorial Video We will go through the thumbnails
I will see you in the next video!
