Why don't we start with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act?
It sounds really lovely doesn't it? Obamacare - the Patient Protection and Affordable Care
Act.
An intrusion by the government into most intimate decisions that we make
- health decisions we make for ourselves, our children, our parents.
These decisions are all now controlled by the federal government. Obamacare is an exploding
bureaucracy on
a scale we've never seen before.
You may have read several weeks ago
about a case in Pennsylvania where 10-year-old girl
was denied a lung transplant by the bureaucracy.
Her congressman had to go to bat
and go to court to get that little ten-year-old girl a lung transplant.
Imagine the fear and pain in the parents' hearts and in that
child from having the government get in between
her parent and her doctor in the decision to have their daughter's surgery so she could live.
The government should never have a single role
in the life and death health care decisions any free American.
When I go to the United States senate as United States Senator
my proudest day is the day I'll be able to vote to repeal
and defund Obamacare for good.
