In this segment, we’ll review the functions of the 3M Brand EM Eye Meter that are specific
to the RF Signal sensor.
Let’s start by making sure the unit is powered off and then plugging in the RF Signal sensor.
Power on the meter by pressing any spot on the screen for approximately three seconds.
Momentarily press the “Menu F” button, and the Navigator appears.
Press the left/right arrows to increase or decrease the value of the settings.
Press the up/down arrows to scroll between the Interval and Average settings.
Press the center button to return to the main menu.
If you press the “Menu F” button for a longer period of time, the hardware setup
menu appears.
You can use the Navigator to adjust brightness, off-time, and attenuation.
Press the unit to toggle between dB microvolts, dBm, and millivolts.
Press the bar graph area to enter the threshold mode and set the RF reference levels.
Use the Navigator to adjust the memory or current reference values, and select which
reference level you want to use.
The “V” indicates the mode is enabled, and the “X” indicates the mode is disabled.
Press the center button to return to the main screen.
Press the Record button to write the displayed readings and settings onto the storage card.
To stop recording, press the button again.
The recorded data will be based on how you set up the interval and reference settings
we discussed earlier.
