I brought the wine, the tasting notes, the glasses.
We had a great time, everybody threw in their money.
It wasn't set up as a business model at the time
It became apparent to me I needed to Form a business model and brand myself.
I'm starting up a business Called, EU2BE,
It's a beauty care line. I work primarily
With the branch office in downtown Boston which is where
My business is based and where I live.
We are celebrating our 20th year of Creature Comforts.
We're a home-based dog walking, Pet sitting service.
We also have three doggie day care centers and two retail stores in Marblehead.
And we have about 60 dogs a day that we Take to the daycare
With two buses and one van.
So in my program we also have a non-profit arm of
Our program, it's called Make a Swish for Me
And that's to allow kids who Need extra financial support
Or provide scholarships for kids to go to school.
Also to provide internships for college students and part of the program, to learn
About the sporting end of things.
Several months after I had done the first one,
I knew I had to set up a bank account and I needed to make an LLC.
Because we had been Banking with Salem Five for so long at this
point, It was very comfortable.
Salem Five was very helpful in the initial stages
when I was setting up the non-profit. I wasn't familiar with how to set it up.
I met with the branch manager, They walked me through the process,
Helped me fill out the forms.
Our bank manager is very proactive. She'll call us and inform us of any opportunities
that may come up that may be
Of helpful and usefulness to us.
When you're a small business owner, you have a lot of decisions that you have
to make. Knowing that you can
Call Your banker, in that very old-fashioned sort
of way, And have them show up in a very modern way.
For me, that's the reason why I selected Salem Five.
They helped me to Navigate that system.
So really helping me get my nonprofit off the ground.
We have had it now for a year And it's done some great things for some of
our kids in our program And I look forward to that growing over time.
