The brand name that Dune represents as a book, is an extraordinary advantage in a way that
a lot of people don't think about.
Which is that it allowed us to cast the actors roles for suitability and acting talent as
opposed to the marketability of their names.
And I say quasi-facetiously that we are not holding it against certain cast members that
their names are extremely well known worldwide, but that wasn't why they were hired.
Our, and John's, first focus was getting the right people for the role, and we could do
more of that than usual because we had a brand name book that gave us a leg up in the market
place.
And so I'd say that the cast is an interesting mix of newer faces and more experienced actors.
