Good afternoon, everyone.
We’ll now begin the last session of Arq.Futuro Minas Gerais.
It’s our pleasure to invite to the stage
architect Shohei Shigematsu.
A graduate of Kyushu University,
in Fukuoka, Japan, and the Berlage Institute, in Amsterdam,
he is a partner and director of OMA’s New York office
where he led the building of contemporary architectural icons
such as the headquarters
of China Central Television in Beijing.
He is a visiting professor at Columbia, Harvard,
Cornell, and Kyoto universities.
He’s currently working on designing The Marina Abramovic
Institute for the Preservation of Performance Arts, in Hudson.
Please, welcome Shohei Shigematsu.
Thank you, Shohei, for the lecture.
We’ll take a short break
and be back for Gustavo Penna’s lecture
and then a talk between Shigematsu, Penna
and mediators André Corrêa do Lago and Karen Stein.
See you soon.
15-minute break.
