A federal air marshal removed from a plane after police say he was caught taking upskirt
photos of at least one passenger.
"John Bartsch faces disorderly conduct charges. Police say he was boarding a Southwest plane
on official duty when witnesses claim he used a cell phone to take a picture underneath
a woman's dress." (Via WSMV)
The discovery and arrest Thursday happened on a flight from Nashville to Tampa and delayed
the flight about an hour. (Via WTOC)
"In my mind, I said I know he's not taking pictures of the girls as they're going by.
Next thing I know, the lady walked by and the phone went to the aisle and he click,
click, click, clicked." (Via WAGT)
The man who first reported the problem says he grabbed Bartsch's phone when Bartsch noticed
someone watching and tried to delete pictures. (Via NBC)
The TSA already appears to have Bartsch well on his way to unemployment.
It released a statement to Nashville station WSMV saying, "TSA does not tolerate criminal
behavior. The agency has removed this individual from his current duties and is in the process
of suspending or terminating his employment."
After getting charged with disorderly conduct and posting bond late Thursday, the 28-year-old
jogged out of a Nashville jail without talking to reporters. (Via WKRN)
