tutorial: how to add a ripple effect to your text
step one: open up cinema 4d. as you can see, im using r13 but this also works on r11.5 and r12!
step two: goto "mograph" then "motext". customise the text to how you like it as i have done here!
step three: goto "mograph", "effector" and then choose the "random effector" (make sure all text layers you want to apply the ripple effect too are selected)
whist the random effector is selected, under the "effector" tab - make the strenth '1' and seed to '0'!
now, goto the "parameter" tab and make the "p.x, p.y & p.z" to '40'
after you have done that, goto the "deformer" tab and change the deformation to "point"
the final step: highlight all the text layers and the random effector and out them into a null/group (alt+g)
as you can see, i forgot where i was suppost to put the random effector - make sure the random effector is on top of the text layers!
this part is your choise of how you like the ripple, go back onto the "random effector", and goto the "effector" tab! play around with the strengh to how you like the effect to be!
