-Hey, everyone.
I'm Stewdippin, this is a new hat,
and I'm here to talk to you about "Doctor Who,
more specifically, my hashtag NEWtoWHO experience.
I'm going to share with you my first "Doctor Who" experience,
and I hope that this kind of encourages
you to watch "Doctor Who," because it's
a really great show, and it's one of my absolute favorites.
No spoilers.
My first experience with "Doctor Who"
was my friend giving me series one, the DVD,
to watch in college.
And I never watched it.
He gave it to me and he said, hey, you will love this show.
And I'm like, yeah, sure thing.
And I was just like, ah, I don't-- I don't-- Ah--
And then about a year or so later, it was on Netflix.
I said, you know what?
I'll give this show a try.
And my initial response was "meh."
The first episode didn't completely sell me, just
because I felt like I was missing out
on a lot of information.
Like, I didn't know the history.
I didn't know the significance.
And I felt like they were making references to things that I
should know about, but I didn't.
But my general rule for watching new TV
is to never judge a show by its pilot.
So I kept on watching more and more episodes.
And with every new episode I watched,
I was just like, oh OK.
Ah!
I don't know about this guy.
Ah!
Oh, my gosh!
Ah!
This is the best show ever!
Buy sonic screwdriver.
I love "Doctor Who" because the writing is so brilliant.
Yes, the show is sci-fi, but it's not
all about spacey-wacey stuff.
You have drama.
You have comedy.
You have mystery.
The show can be literally anything.
There's literally an episode about a "Doctor Who" fan club.
And it's just amazing.
So that is my NEWtoWHO "Doctor Who" experience.
You should start watching "Doctor Who" like now.
It's the best show ever.

I hope you enjoyed this video.
And I hope that you give "Doctor Who" a chance.
