this tutorial is best viewed in high-definition and expanded or
full-screen view okay there are two ways you can do
slow motion in sony vegas pro
uh... ten point zero and possibly older
there's only one-way
you can do slow motion in sony vegas movie studio
eleven and older uh...
what you're going to do is you're going to uh... click on this track make sure it's blue
like you see now then you go to insert
then you go to event velocity
now right now you see a green line
and that is at the normal velocity so you would press play
and the video plays at normal speed
but you can reduce it
uh...
in certain spots of the video by simply double clicking so you double click here
there's a new marker
now you can reduce it so that it's like twenty four percent uh... of the original
speed
and you can put markers wherever you like along the line
so now if you play from the beginning
after hits that marker
it becomes very slow
as you can see
now the other way to do it ah let's just get rid of the event velocity
uh... the other way you can do it is
simply by uh
holding control (Ctrl)
and dragging it
to the right hand side
thereby slowing it down
but keep in mind when you do it with the control and the mouse to the right side
of the page what happens is
uh... the audio also becomes slower
now
you may want to take that into consideration before
uh...
using this type of slow motion
if you're one of the unfortunate people that only has movie studio well you're pretty
much screwed
unless you unjoin the audio track by clicking U
on your keyboard and
uh... dragging it away from the video clip like that and then stretching out the
video clip
by pressing control and dragging your mouse to the right
then placing the audio clip
back
so that
the audio is not affected by this slow motion
using the mouse method
thanks for watching, bye
