Heather Hartwell
My career started as a part time hourly paid and
so I progressed from hourly paid to part time to full time senior lecturer
and then I went to grade 9 and now I have been promoted to associate
prof.
My best achievement was obviously achieving my doctorate
which I achieved in 2004.
The school gave me the time and space to be able to do my studies
and the support of supervisors and really the support of staff as well my colleagues.
I think the best thing about working here is
your allowed quite a lot of autonomy as an academic
and it's a very supportive environment and a very collegiate environment
and it is quite a forward thinking organisation.
In that it very much supports personal development and that as a person who works here is very
liberating from that perspective . I It's a very happy place to work.
