What is the best alternative to Ugg boots?
Is the price putting you off. They’re ultra-comfortable for your feet, but not so much in the pocket
book.
They’re not just comfortable. They are uber-popular.
Popular doesn’t mean smart. Did you know that Ugg boots don’t handle being wet well?
That stinks. What do you do when walking through slush, instead of just dry snow?
Ugg boots can be sprayed with a water proofer. Or you could wear galoshes over them, since
they aren’t water proof.
Or I could just wear them around the house, so they aren’t exposed to the slush.
So much for getting your money’s worth out of expensive boots – or showing them off
to your friends.
What do you think of some of the knock off brands? Those should handle the weather at
least as well as the Ugg boots.
Knock off brands are much cheaper than the main brand. They may or may not be as comfortable.
I’ve heard that they fall apart easily. Then again, I don’t how much of that is
people wearing them the wrong way, standing on the heels.
So will Uggs if you do a lot of walking. They aren’t hiking boots.
Just like they aren’t snow boots. What are they, then?
Fashion statements, for those that do it a lot. Expensive foot warmers, even if you cannot
wear them outside much unless you live somewhere that it is only dry snow.
Are there any good alternatives to Ugg boots?
Almost any mid-priced sheep skin boots are a good rival to Uggs. Knock offs work just
as well for looking stylish.
What about hiking boots?
That’s going to be a matter of preference – both in price and taste. But if you want
cheap, look for wool lined boots with a hard leather exterior, to keep your feet both warm
and dry.
I’m down to just about any type of boots other than Uggs. Ugh!
