Hello Account Controllers today I'm going to show you how to remove roles from a user
if you would like to remove several of the roles but don't want to deactivate them
this is how you do it go to your main FBMS home page
here you will see the detailed navigation
expand for me 'FBMS Access' and then click for me
'FBMS Access Request' once you click on that
it will get you to this screen scroll down
and click on 'Remove Access' this is where you are removing
one or more roles from the user account when you click on that
click 'Requesting for Other Users' so you are doing a request for another user
and then click 'Continue' at this page
it is telling you that you are removing access
the priority is 'Standard 'only if its emergency then you can put it in
as an 'Emergency' otherwise it would be standard
functional area scroll down and click 'Indian Affairs'
and the reason why you are removing, "remove roles" because the user no longer needs it"
so you would wanna fill this out in the 'Requests Reason'
at the user information this is where you fill in the
user so if you don't know the person's name you can do a search
click the 'Search' button
and make sure you click the short ID here
never click the 'ZZ' because that is a validator account
right there click that and hit 'Select'
so it brings up all the person's name and telephone number here
here at the manager if you already know the manager
you can type it in or you can click on the magnifier
and search for the manager when you go down to additional information
at the accounting number select the accounting number
for that user and then discuss with manager click
'Yes' at this point make sure you click the attachment for the form because the form goes first
because if you do a role and removal after that you would not be able to
add in a form so click attachment
and I'm going to attach a form for you
so let's say I'm attaching
this form and I click attach to know that you have attached the form correctly
it's file attach and this is the spreadsheet
press continue and it gets you back to the main page
this is where you are doing the removal select 'Roles in Groups'
when you select that select 'Existing Roles Groups'
when you click on that it will tell you how many pages right here
of what roles the user has there's three pages
one two and three and let's say I want to remove the roles for this user
BW_Bureau BW_CCR so when I click oh that I click 'Add'
be aware that when you click add it does not mean that you are actually removing
the role you are just
adding into this list that these are the rules you will be removing
so when you click add it gets you to this
screen go to the action area
scroll down and click 'Remove'
when you remove these you will see a pink
highlighted selection it tells you that
the user of the roles you are removing and that's the way to tell that you're
removing the roles
so when you have done that click 'Submit' once you hit the submit button
it gets to the SPOC and then Account Controller
for approval just remember once you click this
that's it you won't be able to go back and do anything else so
that's how you remove roles if you have any questions feel free to contact us at IA FBMS Security Team
Thank you and have a great day!
