Now we're going to be talking how to do a slice serve; a slice or backhand spin. The
secret is on your, again, hammer grip; the way you're going to be holding the racquet
and the way you're going to be tossing the ball. You want to toss the ball in front of
you and to your right. Something like this; see it's a little more to my right; so, in
such a way that when I actually contact the ball, I'm going to be contacting it here and
as I go forward with my racquet just a little tilted, it's going to put that spin on the
slice. What my racquet is doing is basically this. So, it's making the ball go around this
way. So, the ball is going to go really, really low and normally close to the net. It's going
to have a tendency to go from right to left and when it bounces, it's going to bounce
really low and it's going to make the returner really get down on their knees if you did
it right and really kind of homeless and just crack the racquet against the floor to try
to get that serve back.
