Here's how you access SED plots from the SHA interface to the SEIP - the Spitzer Enhanced
Imaging Products - source list. Once you have searched for and obtained a source list, over
on the right hand side, there is an SED tab. If you click on that, it displays the spectral
energy distribution for the object that is selected in the table. Note that it is plotting
flux density against wavelength in a log-log scale. Note also that if it's available, it
will give you J, H, and K, WISE, IRAC, and MIPS. If you put your mouse over any of the
points, it tells you more about the point underneath your cursor. In this case, it's
a upper limit. The error bars in the x-direction are the width of the filters. If the errors
are large enough, they can be seen in the y-direction. To make the plot bigger, click
on the arrows. To turn off and on individual points, click on the check boxes here. To
go back to the previous view, click "collapse." With the source list, a plot view is also
available. It comes up by default in table view. To change to plot view, click on the
plot icon. The SED tab is only available for objects in the source list. This is because
the underlying code needs to know what columns to expect to find, and what units to find
them in.
