Well, this is The Arcadian Renaissance
which is an indie arcade full of games made by Toronto developers.
They were just shells basically from their original kind of incarnations
as you know various classic arcade games.
Jeff retro-fitted all these. Not only putting it...like fixing all the
some of the fronts have been kicked in and he was able to sort of fix those.
Hand Eye Society first started as a group of about six of us who all made,
games and wanted to see more cultural stuff happenning
around games in the city.
We just got into doing events, arcades.
We've brought out to different events, like Toronto Comic Arts Festival and,
Flash in the Can. It's been kind of like, in a way a sort of mobile art,
inseminations and that was like really fun because,
it exposed the games, like what people are making locally
to a local audience, because I mean the internet for instance is really,
good at sort of connecting people, but often there's a real advantage to
meeting people offline and chatting with people socially,
and getting to know people and stuff like that.
